An Iconic Children’s Portraiture Project for Future Generations of Londoners.

What is the Children of London Project?

The Children Of London is a published book archiving the lives of children aged 0-12, living in London during one year. The book has been published yearly for over a decade, with copies retained by His Majesty The King and The Prime Minister. Award winning advertising photographer Richard Bradbury is searching for children to appear in this prestigious annual arts project for 2023.

How does it work?

What are we looking for?

We are searching for children aged 0-12  to represent every aspect of London life. From the regular to the unusual…all children are extraordinary! Please include all siblings as we don’t want to miss anyone out.

What does it cost?

There is no fee to apply. If your children are chosen then we ask you to make a donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity via the JustGiving page. The amount you donate is up to you.

What happens next?

If chosen you will be contacted within 21 days to arrange the photoshoot at your chosen location. After the shoot you’ll be invited to the studio to view the images shortlisted for the book. Every child photographed is guaranteed to appear in the book.

About the Children of London project.

The Children Of London project has become a regular part of the London photographic arts scene. For the past decade it has charted the lives of children from different families living in our capital city. Stunning images are captured at locations all across the city during one year.

The final publication is a large, boxed, limited edition book and copies are retained by His Majesty The King and The Prime Minister, amongst many other collectors throughout the world.

The Children Of London celebrates the diversity of all children across the city from different families and different backgrounds. If your children are aged between 0-12 during this year, then apply now (and don’t forget to include all siblings). We’ll be in touch to let you know if you are successful.
